Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Polu (polu.io) (“Polu”, “we”). By creating an account or using Polu you accept these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy and our Privacy Policy. If you use Polu for an organization, you confirm you can accept these Terms on its behalf.

You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity in your account and workspace, including actions by members you invite.

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live, to use Polu.

You keep all rights to the files and other content you upload. You give us a limited license to store, process, scan, preview and deliver that content only as needed to run Polu for you and the people you share with.

You are responsible for having the rights to share your content and for choosing who can access it. Anyone who has a share link (and its password, if you set one) can open the shared files until the link expires or you revoke it.

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We scan uploads for malware and may remove content, disable links or suspend accounts that break it. Copyright complaints are handled under our DMCA Policy.

Polu offers a free plan and paid plans described on the Pricing page. Paid plans are sold through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as Merchant of Record: it processes payments, issues invoices and handles sales tax, and its buyer terms also apply to your purchase.

Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Billing; your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Plan limits (storage, bandwidth, file size, active links and analytics history) are enforced by the product.

We are always improving Polu and may add, change or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces a paid feature you rely on, we will tell you in advance.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleted accounts can be restored for 30 days, after which data is permanently removed.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, create security or legal risk, or remain unpaid. Where reasonable we will notify you first and give you a chance to export your data.

Polu is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Keep your own copies of important files; Polu is a sharing service, not a backup service.

To the extent the law allows, Polu is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100 if you use the free plan. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Vietnam, without regard to conflict of law rules. Mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live still apply.

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date, and we will email account holders about material changes before they take effect.
